Rural Haiti faces many barriers to health from chronic illness and maternal health challenges, to limited access to clean water, surgery, vision care, and medication. FOTCOH's eight integrated programs work year-round to help meet those needs and expand access to care throughout southeastern Haiti.

FOTCOH provides more than episodic care. Its programs work together to build trusted relationships, support returning patients, and strengthen long-term health outcomes.
FOTCOH’s programs have expanded in direct response to the community, addressing critical gaps in care across women’s health, surgery, dental, vision, pharmacy, and WASH.
Our Programs
A diabetes diagnosis. High blood pressure. A seizure disorder left untreated. For many people in rural Haiti, managing chronic illness isn't just difficult, it's often impossible. FOTCOH's Vital Health Clinic provides ongoing care, treatment plans, and medication that help patients stay healthy year after year.
A fever that won’t break. An infection that’s getting worse. A child who needs help now. In communities with limited access to timely care, small illnesses can become life-threatening. FOTCOH provides urgent treatment when time is critical.
A baby without nutrition. A mother without support. When prenatal care is limited, the earliest days of life become more fragile. FOTCOH’s Women’s Health Initiative provides education, nutrition, breastfeeding support, and infant wellness care during a child’s first 1,000 days of life.
A painful tooth. An untreated infection. A smile hidden out of embarrassment. Dental problems can affect far more than oral health. FOTCOH's Dental Care Program relieves pain, restores confidence, and helps patients stay healthy.
A treatable condition. A surgery out of reach. A patient left waiting as pain and risk grow. FOTCOH provides safe surgical care for patients who may otherwise go without the procedures they need.
Vision fading. Daily tasks are becoming harder. A preventable loss that doesn't have to happen. FOTCOH launched Vision Care to help patients access sight-saving exams, treatment, and surgery.
A diagnosis. A treatment plan. The medicine needed to make healing possible. FOTCOH's pharmacy provides reliable access to essential medications that many patients would otherwise struggle to find or afford.
Unsafe drinking water. Repeated illness. A cycle that keeps families sick. FOTCOH’s WASH program addresses one of the root causes of poor health in the region by improving access to clean water sanitation.
