Medication
Access Across Every Program
Supporting treatment for patients receiving urgent care, chronic care, surgery, dental, vision, and maternal health services.
Our programs
A diagnosis without medicine. A treatment plan that cannot continue. A patient whose recovery depends on what is available on the shelf. FOTCOH’s Pharmacy program provides high-quality essential medications that are often unavailable, inconsistent, or difficult to trust in rural Haiti.
Donate NowPharmacy
In rural Haiti, access to safe, reliable medication is often uncertain. Local pharmacies may not carry the medications patients need, and when medicine is available, families may still face barriers related to cost, distance, supply, quality, storage, or authenticity.
Without consistent medication access, even treatable conditions can become prolonged, dangerous, or life-threatening. For patients managing chronic illness, reliable medication is not a convenience. It is what makes ongoing care possible.
Partner Spotlight
For many mothers in rural Haiti, access to prenatal nutrition is far from guaranteed. Yet proper nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and early childhood can shape a child’s health for years to come.
Through FOTCOH’s partnership with Vitamin Angels, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers receive essential prenatal vitamins as part of the Women’s Health Initiative, alongside breastfeeding education, maternal support, and nutritional care for vulnerable children.
This partnership helps support healthier pregnancies, infant development, and stronger beginnings during the most critical first years of life. It also allows FOTCOH to direct additional resources toward other essential medications and health care services across the clinic.
How FOTCOH Responds
FOTCOH maintains a centralized pharmacy that supports every clinical program, from Vital Health Clinics and Urgent Care to surgery, women’s health, dental care, and vision services.
The pharmacy helps ensure patients receive the right medication as part of their treatment plan, with high-quality medicines sourced and brought in to support safe, consistent care. Led by Roger, FOTCOH’s longtime Pharmacy Manager with more than 20 years of experience, the pharmacy team plays a critical role in medication education, treatment planning, and continuity of care.
Because the need is greater than the available supply, funding directly impacts how many patients can receive the medications they need.
