When Support Is Steady, Care Does Not Have to Stop

Every month, patients return to Kay Lavi, FOTCOH’s “House of Life,” for medication, treatment, urgent care, prenatal support, and follow-up visits they cannot afford to miss.

A gap in support can mean fewer medications, fewer supplies, and fewer patients receiving care when they have nowhere else to turn. Monthly giving helps prevent those gaps by keeping FOTCOH staffed, stocked, and ready to serve more than 18,000 patient visits each year.

Foundational Story

A Legacy Built to Keep Going

The Hammond Founder’s Circle honors the vision of Dick and Barb Hammond, whose commitment to Haiti helped create the foundation for FOTCOH’s work. What began through their courage and compassion has grown into a year-round health care organization serving thousands of patient visits each year.

Since Dick’s passing in March 2026, this giving circle carries even deeper meaning. His role evolved over time, but his belief in FOTCOH’s mission never wavered. He remained a trusted advocate, steady encourager, and keeper of the story behind the work he and Barb began together.

Today, monthly donors help continue that legacy by sustaining the care, dignity, and hope FOTCOH provides for communities in rural Haiti.
