Dental Pain That Goes Untreated For Too Long

In rural Haiti, limited access to dental care means common oral health issues like cavities, infections, and tooth pain can go untreated until they become severe.

Without timely treatment, patients may face worsening pain, tooth loss, difficulty eating, and other health complications that affect their daily lives and long-term wellbeing.

Angela’s Story

“When she saw her restored smile, she smiled, then cried. You could see her confidence return. Restorative care doesn’t just treat pain—it restores dignity and quality of life.”

At 30 years old, Angela believed her only option was to lose her four front teeth. The decay was severe, and she had given up hope that her smile could be saved.

But with restorative care, Dr. Jefferson was able to preserve her teeth.

When Angela saw her smile in the mirror, she lit up. Tears, laughter and relief came all at once.

Today, FOTCOH can offer patients like Angela more than extractions. We can help restore their confidence, dignity and quality of life.
